Med school here I come...?

Hello, everyone...
Guess who's a genius at biology??? That's right! That'd be me!! I kicked Cellular Respiration and Photosyntesis's Asses and got a 90% on my test!! Who knows where I'll go next with my new knowledge! Med school perhaps??

Hahahaha! No. No medschool for me. I'll leave the gross boring stuff for Shannon. But I just figured out that Hamline has a children and young adult writing graduate program!!! IT'S HEAVEn!!! and when I say I figured it out, I mean Shannon did! Well, I'm also taking a poli sci class next semester so maybe I'll like that and become a lawyer....or maybe not!

sorry this one's short but I have to go to class!!

Two A-holes of Verona

So, on the advice of some people who gave birth to me, I'm going to tell you about the musical we are doing this year (which I'm not in but still manage to have tons of practice). Concordia is doing Two Gents a musical version of Shakespeare's Two Gentleman of Verona (my friends call it, Two Assholes of Verona, teehee). This play is very very confusing and stupid. I'll be the first one to say it.

Proteus loves Julia and gets her preggers. He's besties with Valentine who goes to Milan and falls in love with Sylvia. Sylvia is supposed to marry Thurio but she loves Eglamour. Proteus goes off to Milan to visit Valentine and falls in love with Sylvia too and becomes a really big d-bag. Julia and her friend Lucetta go to Milan dressed as men (Two gentleman of verona eh eh!) to find Proteus and tell him he's going to be a daddy. Eglamour saves Sylvia from marrying Thurio but then dies or goes somewhere I don't really even know and then there's a dragon fight. Yes, you read right. A Chinese dragon fight!! Then Proteus tries to kidnap Sylvia and Valentine saves her and then Julia and Lucetta reveal themselves and Proteus falls back in love with Julia.
The final couples are: Julia and Proteus, Valentine and Sylvia, Lucetta and Thurio, and Speed and a random Milkmaid (Speed is Valentine's servant).

If you didn't follow that, join the club. I rarely remember what happens and I'm at rehearsal. Not to mention this crazy play is to music written by the people who wrote Hair. Yep, Two Gents is a hippy show, with sexual innuendos and drug references that will be fit for that generation (cough, Mom, Dad, Becky, Greg, Shorty, Dave even Cough!!) The only people who can really enjoy this play will either be drunk or on acid (or smoking marijuana cigarettes!!), it is that crazy.

This is what my life is now. Needle and spoon references and crazy hippy dances.

Cobber-rific

Howdy!
No news of an awesome class score here. I do however have fun news about my biology class! I think I understood something last class!! This is an accomplishment, not because I'm bad at biology but because my teacher sucks at teaching and I really could not go to class and just use that time to look over the chapters and get more knowledge than by actually going to class!
This weekend is our homecoming and I am excited. Not really for homecoming because I am not a Happy Cobber but an indifferent Cobber but Harvest Ball is on Friday night! I don't actually know if I'm going to that with anyone but if I do it will be fun. I don't have work this weekend which is a miracle in and of itself! My roommate wants me to paint my chest for the football game to which I reply, "hahahaha NO." Those girls are crazy craze for doing something like that. It's usually very cold!! Plus I like to sleep which involves me sleeping past normal hours thus you will never have to worry about me painting for a football game (especially since I hate football...Hockey yes, football, no).
If only we didn't have practice Friday and Saturday night, my life would be complete but we do so I'll just put up with it. I guess I'll take the consolation of both of my teachers going away early for the weekend so I don't have ANY class on Friday!!! YESSS!! Three days of sleeping in!!

AND Ugly Betty is on tonight. AND Frosh frolics is happening (talent show for the freshman class to show off what they can offer to Concordia. Yep, that's how we roll here and usually it's really good!) AND I don't have homework because THERE IS NO CLASS!!!

YESSSSSS!!!

Ugh

School, I have decided, is getting in the way of my social life. If only I was able to make money by hanging out with friends and being in plays....*sigh* Oh well. I am having difficulty trying to fit everything into a day. I want to hang out with my friends, do homework, go to practice, go to work, visit my family....That doesn't all fit in one day. That doesn't all fit in one week.

In other news, I didn't fail my biology test which is good because it was a very possible that I would fail. Now all I have to do is get enough motivation to do my homework better. And also study for my grammar test tomorrow. Boo!

Hopefully I'll see everyone on Sunday and be a lot saner than I am right now.

P.S. Anyone know a good Irish name for a boy? I need an Irish name for a character in on of my stories!

I'm a copycat I'm aware!

I have taken a page out of Shannon's...er..book and started a blog. It will probably not be as interesting as Shannon since I do not dissect human bodies constantly or learn about nerves. Actually, right now I'm relearning grammar rules which makes me want to hit my head against a wall repeatedly but c'est la vie! Ah, well, I figured since once a person gets into college and no one has any idea what to ask about except your classes and if I am currently seeing someone (uh, no) I'd let you see somewhat into my life.

Yesterday, I almost died at work. Well, it felt like I was dying. I couldn't stand up straight while taking orders and I'm pretty sure I was frightening the customers. Mom had to come get me (so I'm sure some/most of you have already heard this story) and take me to Urgent care. Two hours later we learned nothing but I was in less pain (sorta). I bought myself lots o' chocolate when I got back on campus.

I'm not in the musical at Concordia this year but I am helping with the dancing because I'm unfortunately one of the better dancers so that will take up some time.

My roommate and I get along really well still and her boyfriend is less annoying then last year thank god. Unfortunately, they are quite alright with making out while I am in the room which is not fun. Such as, right now. Both of them are on the futon watching a show about scorpions. Why? I have no idea. It's 12 30 pm and I would like to go to bed soon. :(

Well, now that I've caught you up the rest of the posts will be much more fluid. Maybe I'll write some stories for you too. hmmmmm.
